| 2024-09-18 | 22:07Due to the cost of electricity, we were hit by bill after bill that we simply couldn’t pay off. That debt added up to around 500 000 NOK and everything felt hopeless. We suffered unbearably cold winters and a lack of motivation. It was barely half a year ago that we announced the debt problem and none of us could’ve imagined that we would pay it off in such a short amount of time!
We want to thank every single one of you for supporting us, for purchasing from the cafe, for going to our gigs, for donating to the Firefund, for buying from the Bandcamp, for spreading the wordβ¦ We couldn’t have done it without you.
Now that we have freedom from this financial burden, we are hoping to divert our focus on more meaningful and higher quality events. The money we earn can actually be invested into projects and further activism in the house (fundraisers, free events, Food Not Bombs, etc.) The house will also have heating this winter (and hopefully every single winter after!) so we can withstand the harsh temperatures.
